As we have prayed and sought the Lord's guidance about the remaining July sessions of Camp Solgohachia, we have come to the conclusion that it is best for our campers, counselors, and families to cancel the rest of Camp Solgohachia this summer. Above all, we feel that we cannot guarantee a safe and fun experience for your children. The required regulations, announced by the state last week, are strict (for good reason) and the margin for error small. The resulting experience would not have been the same that children are used to having at Camp Solgohachia. We've also been faced with the difficult reality that COVID-19 has affected the resources required to prepare for a summer of camp. This decision has not been made lightly, but we feel confident that it is in line with the Lord's will.

Currently, Governor Hutchinson has issued a directive that camps will not be allowed this summer, with plans to re-evaluate by May 31st. We have been in contact with the Arkansas Department of Health to discuss this in detail, and we have had some encouraging conversations. However, due to everything involved in preparing for camp, we do not foresee the possibility of having camp in June. We are aiming to make a decision about camp in July by June 1st, at the latest.
